How to cope with and overcome loneliness:

Relationships take time to build. Talk it over with someone who will listen, who will work with you, who you can confide in, and who challenges you.

Seek support in a group- this could be within your family, a sports club or religious group. This will help you to develop friendships and trust with others.

Listen- everyone needs to listen and be listened to.

Respect the views and belongings of others.

Self assertion- express your own needs, values and feelings without dominating others.

Learn to enjoy your company by identifying the good things about yourself and the environment around you.
