Most of us have moments when we feel lonely.
It might be from starting a new school and not having any friends, or that we’ve just broken up with our boyfriend/girlfriend, or maybe you are just feeling lonely and cannot place why. Whatever it is, there are lots of things we can do to make ourselves feel better and to make ourselves understood by those around us.
Relationships take time to build. Talk it over with someone who will listen, who will work with you, who you can confide in, and who challenges you.
Seek support in a group- this could be within your family, a sports club or religious group. This will help you to develop friendships and trust with others.
Listen- everyone needs to listen and be listened to.
Respect the views and belongings of others.
Self assertion- express your own needs, values and feelings without dominating others.
