What to do if you have had unprotected sex?

If you've had sex without using any contraception, or if the condom you were using slipped off or broke, seek advice from The Word, FPA, a doctor, or the pharmacy. They can give women an ECP (Emergency Contraceptive Pill) after unprotected sex to cut down the chances of pregnancy. This needs to be taken within 72 hours of having sex, better still within 24 hours, as it is more effective if you take it as soon as possible. Don't wait around before seeking help. The ECP isn't any barrier against STIs, so it's a good idea to get a check. And remember to always use a condom.
